Brock Badding, Kuemper Catholic football
The sophomore threw four touchdown passes and 191 yards in the Knights’ 56-14 victory over Saydel.
Coleton Beasler-Weber, Cedar Rapids Xavier football
The senior returned two punts for touchdowns and added another on a 24-yard run as the Saints blanked Oskaloosa, 42-0. Beasler-Weber’s punt returns were 76 and 70 yards.
Ethan Bibler, Waverly-Shell Rock football
Bibler carried 14 times for 198 yards and three touchdowns. The Go-Hawks topped Mason City 44-7 for their first win of the season.
Bryce Buckley, Camanche football
The senior was 12-for-17 for 279 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for another as the Storm outscored Anamosa 43-28.
Butali Butali, Iowa City West football
The junior had 214 rushing yards on 17 carries, helping the Trojans roll to a 58-8 win over Cedar Rapids Washington. Butali was one of eight players to score a touchdown for West.
Titus Cram, Bondurant-Farrar football
The senior rushed for 168 yards on 25 carries, leading Class 4A No. 6 Bondurant-Farrar to a 38-7 thumping of top-ranked Gilbert.
Dillon Croco, Iowa City West football
The senior carded a 66 to win the 15-team district meet at Brown Deer Golf Club.
Ra’Shawd Davis, West Des Moines Dowling football
The Maroons stayed unbeaten with a 29-0 shutout of Urbandale. Davis, a junior, carried 27 times for 163 yards and two touchdowns.
Malachai Douglas, Keokuk football
The senior running back had 204 yards on just 13 carries and scored three touchdowns as the Chiefs won a 47-26 shootout over Mount Pleasant.
Gentry Dumont, Iowa City Regina football
Dumont threw only 11 passes, but completed nine, four for touchdowns, in a 48-21 victory over Dyersville-Beckman. Two of the TD throws went to Ty Joss.
Aidan Flora, ADM football
The senior QB had another huge night for the Tigers, rushing for 259 yards and three touchdowns in ADM’s 20-13 win over Ballard.
Grant Glausser, Western Dubuque football
Western Dubuque’s all-time leading rusher tacked on 227 more yards and scored three touchdowns in the Class 4A No. 3 Bobcats’ 52-29 win over Waterloo East. Glausser is second in the state with 1,455 yards.
Brennan Hayes, Creston football
The senior ripped off 269 yards and three touchdowns as the Panthers stayed unbeaten with a 56-14 win over Knoxville.
Caden Henkes, Ankeny football
The junior rambled for 243 yards on 21 carries, scoring three touchdowns in a 48-21 win over Iowa City Liberty.
Nora Kemp, Waukee girls swimming
The senior won the 100 butterfly (58.91) and 200 freestyle (1:52.85) at the Johnston Invitational. Her performance helped Waukee win the team championship.
Kaiden Knaack, Don Bosco football
Knaack rushed for 201 yards and four touchdowns in the Dons’ 59-14 romp past Turkey Valley. Don Bosco scored on its first nine possessions in Jackson Junction.
Kolton Koopmans, West Sioux football
The junior tight end had 14 catches for 159 yards and four touchdowns and also rushed for a score in the Falcons’ 42-7 triumph over Ridge View.
Gavin Kramer, Northeast football
The junior accounted for five touchdowns in the Rebels’ 50-14 win over Tipton, passing for three and running for two.
Vincenzo Gianforte, Cedar Rapids Kennedy football
The junior passed for four touchdowns and 258 yards in the Cougars’ 44-0 win over Dubuque Hempstead.
JT Laufersweller, St. Edmond football
The senior passed for 334 yards and four touchdowns and also racked up 113 yards and three TDs on the ground. Teammate Sam Myer ran for 198 yards in the Gaels’ 48-42 win over Colo-Nesco.
Garrett Luett, Underwood football
The sophomore quarterback from Underwood completed 17 for 21 passes for 245 yards passing and four TD passes and also had a rushing touchdown for the 6-1 Eagles in their 63-0 beatdown of Missouri Valley.
Alex Manske, Algona football
The junior QB ran for 133 yards and three touchdowns in the Bulldogs’ 34-17 victory over Humboldt.
Cole McCarty, Le Mars Gehlen Catholic football
The junior quarterback rushed for 239 yards on 13 carries, scoring three touchdowns, in a 33-0 homecoming win over South O’Brien. McCarty also passed for 42 yards and had an interception.
Braden McShane, New Hampton football
McShane rushed for 146 yards on 26 carries and three touchdowns in a 35-6 win over Crestwood. After losing their first four games, the Chickasaws won their third straight district game to secure a playoff berth.
Lance McShane, Maquoketa Valley football
The state’s leading rusher broke loose for 281 yards (34 carries) and scored five touchdowns in a 38-21 win over Bellevue. McShane has racked up 1,555 yards and scored 26 touchdowns.
E.J. Miller, Independence football
The junior threw for 279 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 76 yards and another score as the Mustangs blanked Maquoketa 41-0. Miller completed 13 of 21 passes, including six for 106 yards to Brady Kurt.
Connor Moberly, Southeast Polk football
The Iowa State commit passed for 202 yards and a touchdown and ran for two more scores for the Class 5A top-ranked and defending state champion Rams’ 38-0 win over No. 5 Waukee.
Reese Naeve, Regina Catholic volleyball
The sophomore leads the state (all classes) with 5.9 kills per set. The Regals went 5-0 in match play last week to improve to 25-8 on the season. Naeve averaged 8.3 kills in a 3-1 victory over 24-5 Mid-Prairie.
CT Norris, WDM Valley boys golf
Norris edged out LeMars’ Dylan Susemihl and teammate Cade Sunde by a stroke for medalist with a round of 71 at the Fort Dodge Country Club.
Cooper Patterson, Southeast Polk boys golf
The junior led the Rams to a dominating district championship by claiming medalist with a round of 71 at Briarwood. SEP golfers Aaron Estelll and Sam Wahmann finished runner-up and third respectively.
Nora Peterson, Alta-Aurelia girls cross country
The junior won South Central Calhoun meet with a time of 18:57.7, beating the rest of the field by over 32 seconds.
Will Phillips, Cedar Rapids Prairie football
The senior completed 19 of 23 passes for 310 yards and three touchdowns as the Hawks rolled to a 48-7 win over CR Jefferson. Two of the scoring passes went to Apollo Payne, who had seven receptions for 103 yards.
Preston Ries, Monticello football
The senior and University of Iowa commit rushed for 180 yards and four touchdowns and passed for 120 as the Panthers scored 48 unanswered points in a 48-3 trump over West Liberty.
Kellor Rodman, Norwalk football
The senior receiver scored four touchdowns – three receptions and one rushing --as the Warriors made a statement in a 62-6 rout of Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson. He finished with six catches for 137 yards.
Jack Rogers, Iowa City High boys golf
The sophomore claimed medalist at the district meet with a round of 67, edging Waukee Northwest’s Zachary Clausen by a stroke.
Titan Schmitt, Clear Lake football
The junior toted the pigskin 37 times, finishing with 181 yards and a touchdown in the Lions’ 21-6 win over Hampton-Dumont-CAL. Class 3A No. 3 Clear Lake improved its record to 7-0.
Mitchell Smith, West Hancock football
The senior linebacker recorded 10.5 tackles for the Class A No. 6 Eagles in a 41-0 shut out of previously unbeaten and seventh-ranked Lake Mills.
Jonovan Wilkinson, Roland-Story football
The senior ran for 162 yards and three touchdowns as the Norsemen cruised to a 41-14 win over Des Moines Christian.
Landon Waldschmitt, Remsen St. Mary’s football
The junior quarterback rushed for 211 yards on 10 carries, scoring three touchdowns, while adding two touchdown passes in a 56-26 win over Woodbine for the unbeaten and defending 8-player state champions.
Jaxon Willems, Sumner-Fredericksburg football
The senior rushed for 200 yards on just nine carries with two touchdowns in a 47-0 win over Central Springs. The win improved Class 1A No. 3 Fredericksburg’s record to 6-1.
AJ Willey, Bettendorf boys cross country
The sophomore led Bett to Jim Hetrick Invitational championship with a dominating performance of 15:54.5 in the 211-man race. Bettendorf runners finished in four of the top six spots.
Carlie Willis, Grundy Center volleyball
The senior leads the state with 524 kills for the 33-7 Spartans.
